Rat Epidermal Keratinocytes from Glow Biologics are isolated from neonatal CD® IGS rat skinREK are guaranteed to further culture under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics; however, REK are not recommended for long-term cultures due to limited expansion capacity and senescence after subculturing.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Keratinocyte Medium for culturing REK in vitro.

Rat Epidermal Keratinocytes are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma.
Shippment
Rat Epidermal Keratinocytes are shipped using dry ice.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen primary cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
