Description
Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from human umbilical veins. HUVEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. HUVEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to vWF/Factor VIII and CD31 and by uptake of DiI-Ac-LDL. HUVEC are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use endothelial cell medium for the culturing of HUVEC in vitro.
Quality Control
Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
