Description
Human Umbilical Artery Endothelial Cells (HUAEC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from human umbilical arteries. HUAEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HUAEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CD31 (PECAM) and vWF/Factor VIII and by uptake of DiI-Ac-LDL. HUAEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi. HUAEC are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Endothelial Cell Medium for the culturing of HUAECin vitro.

Human Umbilical Artery Endothelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
