Description
The lymphoblastoid cell line GM1899A has been derived from a Lesch-Nyhan patient. It is deficient for hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl transferase (HPRT) with a point mutation in the respective gene. This cell line is used as a feeder for extended-term culture of human T-lymphocytes (see LB lines in the collection).

Quality Control
GM1899A Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
