Description
Detroit 573 was initiated in 1967 from a skin biopsy of a deceased new-born female with multiple congenital anomalies. Approximately 94% of the cell population is 45,XX,t(Bp-;Dq+). The translocated B/D chromosome morphologically resembles a group A-2 chromosome. The cell line is susceptible to polyvirus type 1 and vesicular stomatitis (Indiana Strain) virus.

Quality Control
Detroit 573 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
